Value Added Tax (VAT)

Our charges for legal services generally attract a charge and account for VAT on all services made to UK clients (businesses and individuals), and some clients based overseas depending on the supply of service. The VAT added will be at the current standard rate (20%).

However, there are some circumstances when VAT may not be due, one of which is the making of an exempt supply of service. Charges for services to individuals or business who habitually reside or operate outside of the UK do not have VAT added at the current standard rate. The supply of services in this instance are outside of the scope of UK VAT.

We will advise from the outset and in writing if your case attracts a charge of VAT or whether it is VAT exempt.

Disbursement and related expenses to your matter such as application fees will be paid by you directly to the relevant authority/organisation such as the Home Office, UK Visas and Immigration, VFS Global, TLS Contact and the First Tier Tribunal Immigration and Asylum Chamber.

Please note that the above examples of Disbursements may or may not apply to your case and are listed to give an indication of commonly related costs in immigration matters.
