The Home Office has today announced that they will not extend leave to remain beyond 31 July 2020 for COVID reasons. It will, however, ‘give’ an automatic ‘grace period’ to 31 August 2020 and allow requests for ‘exceptional indemnity’ beyond that.
Ridiculously timed announcement and very unhelpful terminology as these terms are unheard of in immigration law.
